The Intellectual Property Laws in Israel are considered to be amongst the most advanced legal regimes in the western world. Newly revised sets of Domestic Laws as well as state membership of the relevant international bodies (WIPO), International treaties (generally WIPO's Intellectual Property treaties) and especially the Rome Convention for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms, Broadcasting Organizations (1961) and The Convention for the protection of Producers of Phonograms Against Unauthorized Duplication of Their Phonograms (1971), positioning Israel in front line of Copyright Protection.

This legal state of affairs enables Record Producers in Israel to enjoy the highest level of protection for their overseas business. As member state and signatory to all International IP treaties – Israeli law should provide the same level of legal protection to foreign Record producers as if they were Israeli citizens.

However, the reality is that Israeli performing rights organization and Master's rights organization provides little if any protection to independent foreign rights holders.

Although Enforcement of Masters’ rights in Israel is well advanced and market turnover for master recordings alone is estimated around 25 - 30M US$ per annum and although Israeli Media uses at least 60% of foreign repertoire – still many foreign artist / labels q performers are not getting paid any royalties!

• Legal Enforcement & Regulation of Master's rights vis-à-vis any Collecting Societies or any sources of commercial exploitation of Master Recordings,
• Issuing broadcast, public performance, Digital rights to commercial exploitation.
• Collection & Distribution of Royalties.

I.M.U.Israel was established by Mr. Yokhai Khai an experienced Music & Copyright lawyer, founder and Managing Director of the PIL organization – the Israeli Collecting Society of independent Record Producers and owner of Inzima Music Publishing.
